How to Open Trunk of Chevy Cruze Without Key
Is there a truck release in the car, without using the key.

Nope it's on the key fob (doesn't work when keys are in) or the button on the trunk. Looked like an idiot when asked to pop the trunk going onto a military base and said I couldn't unless I got out or turned the car off

I had a border agent freak out on me when I shut my engine off to pop the trunk when I was going into Canada. Good times.

That was my struggle every day going onto Landstuhl.

Nope, GM cut every corner they could. But hey at least we got a great commuter when the turbo works and nothings leaking ;)

There is a button on the trunk itself, just above the license plate under that lip. Mine quit working though so I have to use the button on the fob.

I replaced the trunk release button on my 2013 this summer. The switch itself was inexpensive, and the replacement straightforward. I did have to cut away epoxy around the original switch with a Dremel tool.

I had to replace the button on my deck lid on my 2014. You can order it as a harness that includes the license plate lights. It's not hard. I used a heat gun to soften the sealant that was around my old button, and replaced the screws in the lights with stainless steel ones in case I have to do it again.

Mine has one where your Lock/Unlock button is.

Mine does too. I think it's something they did at the end of the Cruze run. I could be wrong though.
My 2015 also doesn't have a cubby on top of the dash, or cupholders that fold out of the rear seat. My buddies 2014 did. Exact same trim level.

Yup. Mine is a 2015 LT and it also has a trunk button where OP's lock/unlock button is.

Not inside the car (at least for the 2013 models) You need to get out and push the button on the trunk lid.

Depending on which year ( looks like around 2012 ) there might be one on the driver's door. Other than that the key fob is the only option. I've detailed and worked around many of cruzes, I alllllwaaaays rage when there isn't a trunk release inside the car and have to go hunt the key down and use the stupid fob! Good luck

The release button on my trunk quit working before the car turned a year old. I probably should've seen if the dealer would've fixed it but it wouldn't have been worth the inconvenience.

Odd i have a 2016 and where on yours you have the lock/unlock buttons on the dash, on mine that's where the trunk button is, my door unlocks are on the doors, if you have them there too you could probably buy a 2016 trunk button (it fits right in that same cut out) and wire it it.

No there is the emergency latch inside the trunk. But there is no lever to pop open the trunk Inside the cab.

Press the unlock button on your dash three times, only works if the key is in the ignition and turned to on

No way! I want to test it out but I know I won't remember by the time I'm driving again in 12 hours

I have a button on my driver side door.

Still think the gen 1 interior dash area/console looks better than gen 2s.
